Metatiedot täytetään, kun uusi allekirjoituspyyntö luodaan, allekirjoituspyyntöä muokataan tai myöhemmin esikatseluvaiheessa. Metatietoja voivat kirjoittaa sisällön omistajat, metatiedon ylläpitäjät ja luotetut ylläpitäjät. Muilla valitussa metatietomallissa määritetyillä käyttäjillä on ainoastaan lukuoikeus.
